Trishul Business Square

Office towers are usually designed for the facade photograph. Trishul is designed for Tuesday, at three in the afternoon, in a meeting that went long. That means deep reveals, cross-ventilated floor plates, and windows you can actually open.

The podium is the part we are proudest of. It is not a parking deck with a lobby — it is a shaded public room the street can use, with a cafe, a courtyard and a place to sit that is not inside a building you have to pay to enter.

The bronze fins on the tower are not decoration. They are a shading device tuned to the western sun, and they are the only part of the building we would keep if we built it again.
